DFPUG is short for "Deutschsprachige (German-speaking) Foxpro User Group". Initial groundwork was done by Juergen Wondzinski (aka wOOdy) and Gerhard Paulus in 1992, and then founded in 1993 by Rainer Becker. It has about 700 members - companies as well as programmers. It organizes the yearly Devcon Germany as well as regional monthly meetings in about a dozen cities in Germany and publishes the quarterly loose leaf magazine Foxx Professional (200 pages). Due to the size of the user group it is incorporated under the name ISYS GmbH.
