Rainer Becker is the leader of the German Foxpro user group DFPUG since 1993, publishes the small magazine Foxx Professional, runs an interactive Visual FoxPro forum at forum.dfpug.de, a Visual FoxPro document portal at portal.dfpug.de, a Visual FoxPro eNewsletter at newsletter.dfpug.de, an international online shop at shop.dfpug.com and organizes the DevCon Germany since 1994. He has been a speaker at various Microsoft events as the Dev Days, Fox Teach and Ce BIT - at Ce BIT fair he was at the VFP demo machine 1993-2005. He is a Most Valuable Professional for Visual FoxPro from 1997 to 2010 and a Microsoft Certified Professional. His main profession is consulting work for Visual FoxPro projects of Wizards Builders and for ISYS GmbH as well as publishing the framework Visual Extend.

He was the Editor of Fox Talk 2.0 (effective with the December, 2005 issue) and agreed with Pinnacle Publishing about taking over Fox Talk. But he was editor only for six issues as Eli Journals took over Pinnacle Publishing on 1st of March 2006 and cancelled all contracts (editors, authors, layouters). Talks with Eli Journal to take over Fox Talk failed for various reasons.

At the DevCon Germany 2007 he received the FoxPro Community Lifetime Achievement Award. Big thanks to the community for that!

On 1st of March 2008 he finally took over Fox Talk which was instantly renamed to Fox Rock X. See Fox Rock XIntroduction for more details.
