Setting Win 2 KExplorer Defaults

Namespace: WIN_COM_API
This bugs me!

In Windows 2000, the file explorer always opens up in a "Large Icons" view. What I want is for it to always open with "Details" view (The file list) with the file Attributes column showing. The way it always did in NT4 and prior. So how do I get the Windows 2000 file explorer out of dum-dum mode and always into this preferred view mode? -- Steven Black

Try this. Open Explorer and set one folder the way you want it. Then choose Tools-Folder Options. Go to the View page and click Like Current Folder. Say Yes to the dialog and you should be in business. -- Tamar Granor

Bingo! Thanks Tamar :-)-- Steven Black
