I'm trying to find out why it might be better to use single, rather than multithreading...
Multi-threaded code is potentially much more complex for the same level of reliability
Single-threading runs slightly faster since there's no overhead from multi-threading
Multi-threaded uses a set of file handles for every connection that opens tables. Potentially crashing the server with too many files open. I think.
