Stored Procedure

Concerning a Stored Procedure in an SQL database:

A precompiled collection of Transact - SQL statements stored under a name and processed as a unit. Stored procedures are available for managing SQL Server and displaying information about databases and users. SQL Server-supplied stored procedures are called system stored procedures.

Concerning a Stored Procedure in a FoxPro database:

A stored procedure is essentially a function or procedure that is available to your program to call anytime the Database Container within which the stored procedure resides is open [OPEN DATABASE myDBC] and is current [SET DATABASE TO mDBC]
